Who You Are / Your Next Challenge

The Payment Solutions team of Moneycorp is a critical commercial tactical solutions division that is geared towards the provision of impactful MI, business analysis and ad-hoc projects that align with the strategy of the business and help it accrete value to our shareholders. We are searching for a payments domain technical expert and commercially astute Tactical Developer to join our vibrant Payment Solutions Team in the UK based in Moneycorp's London Victoria office.

Reporting into the Innovation Architect this critical role will be responsible for leading a progressive and responsive Payment Solution function that provides the Innovation Architect, Chief Revenue Officer, CEO of International Payments and the wider Senior Management Team (SMT) across Moneycorp with incisive, value-adding concepts and solutions to deliver new business value and support effective decision making.

You will work across several departments including IT, Sales, Account Opening, Back Office and Compliance to add velocity to new projects. As such we are ideally looking for someone who has extensive exposure and working domain knowledge capability of banking, payment and card system which supports regulated global businesses dealing. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, be methodical and organised in approach as you support executing high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across new strategic directions and products offerings.

What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role 

  • Proven domain knowledge and experience of banking, payments and card systems within a corporate environment (Banking / Financial Services or FX organisational experience highly advantageous).
  • Significant experience using Python, SQL and Data Analytic tools such as Alteryx and Tableau (essential)
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with great attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of FX and payment services (highly advantageous)
  • Entrepreneurial and ability to work in an agile fashion but also with discipline and structure.
  • Sound commercial acumen and experience analysing current strategy and evaluating where efficiencies can be gained.
  • Highly numerate, methodical and organised in approached.
  • Proficient at building relationships at all levels and influencing a range of senior stakeholders, challenging decision making to help drive continuous improvements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across regions and cultures in a global business.
  • A can-do, enthusiastic and helpful attitude towards a range of stakeholders and fellow team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, stay calm and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Highly developed emotional intelligence, integrity and levels of professionalism with a drive for excellence and quality.
  • Be highly organised, excellent at prioritising one’s work and able to use ones initiative.
  • Friendly individual who enjoys working in a team across multichannel functions and is able to nurture relationships with a broad variety of stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Resilient to change, adapting to and supporting new situations with confidence.

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the office based in Victoria, London as part of the Payment Solutions team.
