Who You Are / Your Next Challenge

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to join our Commercial Development team on a full-time, permanent role based in Toronto, ON. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Commercial Development, you’ll be accountable for building the right product via activities like leading our process to get to product market fit, holding our product quality bar high, and developing market expertise in this complex space. This includes enabling our platform to allow clients to hold digital currency, pay and convert. The role also extends to working very closely with major banking partners to ensure we have the right coverage both locally and also globally.  Some of the other responsibilities of this role include:

  • Work closely with our engineers, designers, Strategy and Operations, and other product managers to - build products for Moneycorp’s cross currency strategy
  • Help set an ambitious roadmap for product development and expansion for cross currency and settlement proposition, which includes our Treasury and Issuing and acquiring products
  • Work closely with our customers, product teams, and cross functional partners to build a comprehensive and frictionless experience for our clients
  • Discover potential new parts of our business and lead them from nascent stages to maturity by working internally and externally

What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role 

  • Over 10 years of product management experience
  • Experience in dealing with merchant acquirers and marketplaces, or working within one is essential
  • An entrepreneurial mind set towards making progress and finding product market fit in an emerging category
  • Partnered closely with engineers to build products (especially APIs) and complex systems at scale
  • Software engineering or similar technical experience would be advantageous
  • A craftsperson’s attention to detail and care for great product experiences
  • A driving desire for continuous product improvement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is expected to be office-based in Toronto, ON as part of the Commercial Development team.
