Who You Are / Your Next Challenge

We have an amazing opportunity for a Cloud Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Services team on a permanent contract. Based in our London, Victoria Office, this role report directly to the Head of Cloud Engineering.

This position sits within the Platform Engineering Team and demands a confident and skilled individual who can help shape and deliver Moneycorp’s infrastructure requirements as well as make recommendations for service security, reliability and efficiency improvements.

Primary responsibilities for this role will be split line managing other infrastructure engineers, the modernisation projects relating to our product strategy, as well as processing 3rd-line ticket escalations for existing services.

 

What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role 

  • Line management of other Infrastructure and DevOps engineers
  • Team work prioritisation and management
  • Create patterns and infrastructure templates that can be consumed/adapted by development teams
  • Significant experience with Azure Compute services – IaaS, PaaS, vertival / horizontal scaling
  • Experience with Azure SQL services – IaaS, PaaS (Azure Database, Managed Instance, Elastic Pools etc)
  • Windows Server / Linux management and patching
  • Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IAC)
  • Automation / Configuration Management – Powershell DSC / Ansible / Chef / SALT
  • GIT Source control
  • Atlassian JIRA / Confluence
  • Azure DevOps – deployment by pipelines
  • Observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Kusto query language, Sentinel, Application Insights. Visualisation using tools such as Grafana.
  • Security Awareness
  • Azure ASR / Backup / Availability Zones / Multi Region DR
  • Azure Cost Management
  • Azure AAD / SSO Integration / Group Policies
  • DNS, SSL, Certificate Management


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take on a fundamental role within the IT Services team, who is keen to get involved in multiple tasks within an established growing international organisation, and provides amazing scope for both strategic and operational self-development.

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position. The job is expected to be office-based in Victoria, London as part of the IT Services team with the option for flexible work arrangements.
